At a glance
The Mountain Legacy Project has re-photographed a large number of the original phototopographic surveys of the Rocky Mountains. more history...
- A survey is a geographic area. These areas were determined by the original photographers/surveyors.
- A station is a point within a survey where the photographers took panonama photographs of the mountains.
- Original Photographs are the first photographs taken of an area.
- Repeat Photographs are the second photographs taken of an area (with perhaps more to come).
- Comparisons are sets of original and repeat photographs - these photographs will share the plate name of the original photograph.
- A surveyor is the principle photographer of a survey, the Mountain Legacy Project is the surveyor for all the repeat photographs.
