Visit narrative:
Rick and I left Elbow this morning with C-FALF to do Nidd48 - Galatea (Stn. 15). Multiple attempts to tow in at the peak but unsuccessful at securing a good spot to exit. Large cornice broke off at peak, causing a small avalanche! Power issues with the helicopter and so we decided for a grassy ridge below peak instead. Started ascent onto step slop of Galatea but turned back as ascent and descent to station would have been too much. Will perhaps re-attempt later in season. Awaited bump from RTL to station 47 Parlee. Witnessed small dust-devil on ridge beside us (5m) which picked up pieces of slate pushing 10cm in size. Bumped to Stn. 47 with RTL. Photos taken with Nikon D810 at cairn starting with 2994. There was a second location further SE along the ridge but it is over grown. Mayday call on radio.
